Jamaican Food Handlers Clinic

Jamaicans who wish to obtain their food handlers permit should keep in mind the following:


1. New Applicants will need 2 passport size pictures stamped and signed by a J.P. along with $600 or $700 Jamaican dollars based on the parish the clinic is being held in.


2. For renewal, you will need the existing outdated food handlers permit/card along with $600 or $700 Jamaican dollars based on the parish the clinic is being held in.

Both new and renewal clients will have to sit through the food handlers clinic which will be conducted by a public health Inspector. Please keep in mind that it is possible that your card will not be returned immediately, so it is imperative that you always have your receipt. on the parish, the clinic is being held in.

Jamaica Food Handlers Clinics Schedule 

Parish of Westmoreland

  • Darliston: 3rd Tuesday and 4th Monday every month. Cost $600.00 and two passport-size photos stamped and signed by JP.
  • Savanna-la-mar: 1st Wednesday and 3rd Thursday of every month. N: B all classes are done by appointment and it's two sessions per day 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
  • Grange Hill: 1st Tuesday at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm on 1st Tuesdays and 2nd Tuesdays at 8:30 am. Note all classes are done by appointment.
  • Negril: 1st Thursday for renewal and 4th Tuesday for first-timers and restaurant and catering (2:00 pm) of every month. N: B all other classes are scheduled for 9:00 am.
  • White House: 1st and 4th Tuesday in every month.

Parish of Hanover

  1. Lucea: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Mondays every month. N: B all classes are done by appointment.
  2. Sandy Bay: 2nd Tuesday in every month.
  3. Hopewell: 1st Monday
  4. Ramble: 1st Wednesday in every Month.
  5. Green Island: 1st Tuesday and 4th Wednesday in every month.
Parish of St James
  • Montego Bay: This clinic is held at the Holy Trinity Church in Westgate every Thursday of the Month. N: B all classes are done by appointment and it's two sessions per day 8:30 are for persons renewing and 12:00 pm for first-timers.
  • Maroon Town: 1st Tuesday of every month.
  • Cambridge: 2nd Monday of every month.

Parish of Kingston and St Andrew

  • KSA (Kingston & St Andrew Health Department): Every day of the Month. Note all classes are done by appointment. For more information please call 876-926-1550.

Parish of Trelawny

  • Falmouth: Every Wednesday in every month. Cost $500.00 and two signed passport-size photos. N: B persons renewing do not need to sit the lecture.
  • Albert Town: 1st Monday in every month.

Parish of St Elizabeth

  • Black River: 2nd Monday and 2nd Wednesday of every month. Cost $500.00 and two signed passport-size photos.
  • Southfield: 3rd Monday in every month.
  • Junction: 2nd and 3rd Tuesday in every month, two sessions for the day 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. N: B all classes are done by appointment.
  • Newell: 4th Monday in every month, two sessions for the day 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
  • Santa Cruz: 1st Wednesday of every month for renewal and 3rd Tuesday at 9:00 am for everyone.
  • Maggoty: 3rd Thursday of every month.
  • Balaclava: 1st Monday of every month.

Parish of St Mary

  • Highgate: 1st Thursday of every month. The cost is $500.00
  • Annotto Bay: 3rd Thursday of every month.
  • Oracabessa: 2nd Mondays in every month.
  • Port Maria: 4th Wednesday in every month.

  • Buff Bay Community Hospital: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month and for every quarter restaurant and catering. Cost is $500.00
  • Hope Bay: 1st Thursday of every month

  • Manchineal Health Centre: 4th Tuesday of every month.
  • Fair Prospect: 2nd Thursday of every month.

Parish of Clarendon

  • Milk River: 4th Thursday of every month, the cost is $ 500.00.
  • Race Course: every quarter in every month, you will have to visit the health to get the exact day in the quarter.
  • Raymond: 1st Wednesday of every month.
  • May Pen: Every Thursday in every month except on the 5th Thursday. N: B all classes are done by appointment.
  • Chapelton: 3rd Wednesday in every month.
  • Kellith: 4th Thursday in every month.
  • Spalding: 2nd Wednesday in every month.
  • Crost-Hill: 2nd Wednesday of every month.

Parish of St Ann

  • Ocho Rios: 1st and 3rd Monday and Tuesday of every month. N: B all classes are done by appointments and the cost is $500.00.

  • Spanish Town: 1st Wednesday, 3rd Tuesday, and 4th Wednesday in every month. N: B its three sessions per day 8:30 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, the cost is $500.00.
  • Greater Portmore: 1st, 2nd, and 4th Wednesday of every month.
  • Bog walk: 2nd Tuesday in every month.
