Stress At Work

Many Jamaicans from time to time get stressed out at work, and do not know how to handle it. Stress can cause us as Jamaicans to get very sick, so we should practice healthy ways of dealing with stress. Don't fight stress by drinking alcohol or by eating sweets and junk food. Instead, learn to relax, and try some deep-breathing exercises. Lie on your back (if possible) during which you close your eyes, consciously relax every muscle of your body from your face down to your toes, and focus on your breathing for 5 to 10+ minutes each day.
You can also listen to de-stressing songs when you are on break. 
Use specially created music or words that are designed to stimulate and relax the brain, release healing hormones, and dramatically release stress that has been frozen and encapsulated in the body.  Limit sugary and caffeinated beverages, that's a recipe combination of progressive health deterioration. Moderate caffeine consumption doesn’t seem to be harmful for most people. But recent studies suggest that when men who have both high blood pressure and a family history of hypertension drink a lot of caffeinated beverages while under job stress, they may experience a dangerous rise in blood pressure. some info sourced from www.212articles.com

Yes...I find myself getting stressed out at work at lot as when i get up in the morning and start getting ready for work, i feel happy but when i actually get to work, i instantly feel stressed..Work stresses me out mentally and physically!!!!

I agree with the points presented, often times individuals find thenselves in what is deemed as a "sticky situation:" at work; which is a major contributing factor to heightened levels of stress. In essence eating healthy and ensuring that you get your 8 hours of sleep will ultimately overcome such feelings. I can attest to a point made in this blog; I practice listening to music during my lunch and breaks and especially prior to the start of my shift and it helps to deplete the stress that the work comes with. Great topic, great tips!!!!!

The environment has changed drastically and so yes it is very stressing at work. It is so uptight and most times it feels as if they are breathing down your neck which makes it harder for you to perform to the best of your ability as you will always be worrying whether or not you are performing up to standard.

We canuse stress to motivate rather than demotivate us. We can focus on the WHY we came to work in the first place, what is important to us, what the job enables us to do, and try not to take work home. When we are spending time with our loved ones we should try to limit or stop talking about work and just focus on relaxing with them.

I agree with the points that we are stressed out often at work and sometime some peoples takes the help of junk food , alcohol to overcome from it which is very bad. but taking the help of soft music and deep breath exercise is more very helpful to overcome from it..

Taking stress at work can really spoil your work and the environment of your work place. So it is usually recommended to take some leaves if you are not able to manage your work and to relax your mind. There are many tipe that can be of great help after all.
